Lieutenant Sonya Blade is a member of an elite U.S. Special Forces Unit. She is on the trail of a criminal known only as Kano when she's lured to the tournament by the demon sorcerer Shang Tsung. Sonya is extraordinarily effective at her job. However, she only trusts one person - herself. If she lets her personal mission of revenge get in the way, the tournament will surely be lost and Earth will fall into forever damnation at the hands of Shang Tsung.
